How to fix seo product no images on Elementor
Add at least one high-quality image to every product page so Google can index it and shoppers can see what they're buying.
Steps for Elementor
- In your WordPress admin, go to Products → All Products and filter by the products flagged as having no images. Open the first offending product in the standard WooCommerce product editor (not Elementor) — the featured/gallery images are set here, not inside the Elementor canvas.
- In the right-hand sidebar of the WooCommerce product editor, locate the 'Product image' meta box (bottom-right). Click 'Set product image', upload or select a high-quality image (minimum 800×800 px recommended for zoom), and click 'Set product image' to confirm.
- Optionally add additional angles or lifestyle shots in the 'Product gallery' meta box directly below. Click 'Add product gallery images' and upload or select the additional images.
- Save/Update the product. Repeat for every product that is missing an image.
- Now open the product page in Elementor (Edit with Elementor). If you are using a custom Elementor template for the single-product page, verify the 'Product Images' WooCommerce widget is present on the canvas. If it is missing, drag the 'Product Images' widget (found under WooCommerce → Product Page in the Elementor widget panel) into the appropriate section and save the template.
- After all products are updated, go to Rank Math / Yoast (or your SEO plugin) → Sitemap, and re-submit your sitemap in Google Search Console so Google re-crawls the updated product pages and indexes the new images.
What is seo product no images?
A product page with no images means Google finds zero photos attached to that listing, and visitors land on a page with nothing visual to show them what they're considering buying. Every product in your store should have at least one clear photograph — ideally several showing different angles, contexts, or variants. This is one of the most fundamental requirements for a well-optimised, conversion-ready product page.
Products without images are invisible in Google Image Search, which drives significant free traffic for ecommerce stores — Google explicitly uses product images to surface listings in visual search results and Shopping surfaces. Beyond traffic, conversion rates on imageless product pages are dramatically lower because shoppers cannot visualise what they're buying and will leave for a competitor. Poor-quality or missing visuals also signal low-trust and low-effort to both users and search engines, which can suppress your overall site quality signals and rankings. Accessibility-wise, missing images also remove the opportunity to provide descriptive alt text, which is required under WCAG 2.1 guidelines and relevant to legal accessibility standards in many jurisdictions.
