Missing h1Quick win
Add a single, descriptive H1 tag to every page that currently lacks one, clearly stating the page's main topic.
On Joomla
- Joomla outputs the article Title as the H1 by default. Go to Content → Articles → open the article and ensure the Title field is filled in.
- In Article Options (or globally under Content → Articles → Options → Article tab), make sure 'Show Title' is set to 'Show' and the title is not styled as a lower heading in your template.
- If the template overrides the heading level, edit the template's HTML override for com_content/article/default.php and wrap the title in <h1> tags.
<h1>Women's Running Shoes</h1>Place exactly one of these per page, as the first heading in the main content area.

Missing content security policyModerate effort
Add a Content-Security-Policy (CSP) HTTP response header to every page to block unauthorized scripts, styles, and resources from loading in your visitors' browsers.
On Joomla
- Go to System → Global Configuration → Server tab → Content Security Policy (Joomla 4+ has a built-in CSP field).
- Enter your policy string in the Content Security Policy field and set the mode to 'Enforce'.
- Alternatively, use the .htaccess file: Header always set Content-Security-Policy "default-src 'self'; script-src 'self'; object-src 'none';"
- Install a Joomla security extension such as 'RSFirewall!' or 'Akeeba Admin Tools' for a UI-driven approach.

Cms versionModerate effort
Update your CMS and ecommerce platform to the latest stable version immediately to close known security vulnerabilities and maintain vendor support.
On Joomla
- Log in to Joomla Admin → System → Update → Joomla to see your current version and available updates.
- Click 'Install the Update' to apply core updates directly from the admin panel.
- Go to System → Update → Extensions to update all installed extensions.
- Subscribe to the Joomla Security Announcements mailing list to be notified of new security releases.
<!-- REMOVE or suppress this tag from your <head> — it advertises your CMS version to attackers -->
<!-- <meta name="generator" content="WordPress 5.8.1" /> -->
<!-- In WordPress, add this to your theme's functions.php to remove it: -->
<!-- remove_action('wp_head', 'wp_generator'); -->If your site injects a generator meta tag exposing your CMS version publicly, remove it to reduce information exposure to attackers. This does not replace upgrading — it is a secondary hardening step.
