How to fix missing schema faqpage on Elementor
Add FAQPage schema markup to any page that contains a Frequently Asked Questions section so Google can display your answers as rich results directly in search.
Steps for Elementor
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Pages (or Posts) and open the page built with Elementor that contains your FAQ section. Click 'Edit with Elementor' to launch the Elementor editor.
- In the Elementor left panel, click the hamburger menu (☰) in the top-left corner, then go to Site Settings → Custom Code (Elementor Pro required). Alternatively, if you do not have Elementor Pro, install a lightweight plugin such as 'Insert Headers and Footers' to inject the schema — then skip to step 4.
- In Custom Code, click '+ Add New' and give the snippet a descriptive name such as 'FAQPage Schema – [Page Name]'. Set the 'Location' to 'In Page Head' and the 'Priority' to 10. Scope it to the specific page using the 'Include On' condition (e.g., 'Page → [Your FAQ Page]').
- Paste the following JSON-LD block into the code editor, replacing each Question/Answer pair with your actual FAQ content: <script type="application/ld+json"> { "@context": "https://schema.org", "@type": "FAQPage", "mainEntity": [ { "@type": "Question", "name": "Your first question here?", "acceptedAnswer": { "@type": "Answer", "text": "Your first answer here." } }, { "@type": "Question", "name": "Your second question here?", "acceptedAnswer": { "@type": "Answer", "text": "Your second answer here." } } ] } </script> Add or remove Question/Answer objects to match every FAQ item visible on the page.
- Click 'Apply' to save the Custom Code snippet, then click 'Publish' (or 'Update') in the Elementor editor to push the change live.
- Validate the output by copying the page URL and pasting it into Google's Rich Results Test (https://search.google.com/test/rich-results). Confirm it detects a valid 'FAQ' rich result with no errors before requesting indexing in Google Search Console.
What is missing schema faqpage?
FAQPage schema is a small block of structured data (hidden code) you add to a webpage that tells Google "this page contains questions and answers." It uses a standardized vocabulary (Schema.org) so search engines can reliably read and understand your FAQ content — even if it looks different from other sites. The markup lives in a `<script>` tag in the page's HTML and is invisible to shoppers but fully readable by search crawlers.
When Google recognizes valid FAQPage markup, it can expand your search listing to show individual questions and answers directly below your blue link — sometimes doubling or tripling the vertical space your result occupies on the results page. This "rich result" appearance dramatically increases click-through rates because shoppers see your answers before they even visit your site, building trust instantly. For ecommerce stores, FAQ sections on product, shipping, or returns pages are prime candidates: a richer listing means more qualified clicks, lower bounce rates, and more conversions. Without the markup, Google may never discover your FAQ content exists, and a competitor who has the markup can capture that expanded real estate instead of you.
