Steps for BigCommerce

1. For the homepage: Admin → Marketing → SEO & Analytics → 'Page title' under 'Home Page SEO'.
2. For product pages: Catalog → Products → select a product → 'SEO' tab → 'Page title' field.
3. For category pages: Catalog → Categories → select a category → 'SEO' tab → 'Page title'.
4. For standard pages: Storefront → Web Pages → select page → 'SEO' tab → 'Page title'.
5. To fix the title at the template level: Storefront → My Themes → Advanced → Edit Theme Files → open `templates/layout/base.html` → confirm `<title>{{head.title}}</title>` is inside `<head>`.

What is document title?

Every web page must have a `<title>` tag inside its `<head>` section — a short line of text that names the page. It's what appears in the browser tab, in screen-reader announcements when the page loads, and as the blue clickable headline in Google search results. A "missing document title" finding means at least one of your pages either has no `<title>` tag at all, or the tag is completely empty (e.g. `<title></title>`).
